Welcome to Gorilla Mist Camp, a privately operated and locally owned lodge with deep experience in the tourism industry. Our commitment to customer care and comfort sets us apart, and we take pride in providing exceptional service.
Located in the southwestern part of Uganda, our camp is a quintessential African safari lodge set within landscaped gardens, offering breathtaking views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the Virunga Mountains. Gorilla Mist Camp caters to middle and upper-class visitors, welcoming you with the stunning scenery of the forest in a tranquil, home-away-from-home environment, where you are serenaded by the melodies of various bird species.
Our camp has a charming and friendly atmosphere, with the chance of surprise visits from mountain gorillas and colobus monkeys. Positioned in the Ruhija tracking area of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, you can track gorilla families such as Oruzogo, Bitukura, and Kyaguliro. Nearby, a renowned birding swamp hosts unique species like the African green broadbill, which nests only in this region.
Gorilla Mist Camp features eight luxurious grass-thatched bandas, all self-contained and designed to offer the utmost comfort in nature. The main house includes a well-stocked bar, library, lounge, dining area, fireplace, and a balcony that provides stunning views of the six peaks of the Virungas and the entire Bwindi forest, weather permitting.
Our well-trained staff ensures the best service throughout your stay, and our five-course menu features a variety of cuisines from around the world, prepared by the best chef in the region. Additional services include massages, fast and reliable internet, laundry, and local entertainment.
Gorilla Mist Camp is the top choice for international groups such as the BBC and UN, and we are highly ranked in travel guides like TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet.
